“Introduction to the Practice of Yoga” by White Flame Yoga
This in-house yoga class will run Wednesdays from 5:15 – 6:15 pm.
In this beginners “Introduction to the Practice of Yoga” class you will learn classical postures, breathing techniques as a method of relaxing and focusing, as well as develop strength, flexibility and balance. With an emphasis on personal instruction, the class will provide a safe environment for beginning students to learn the correct form of basic yoga postures regardless of age or experience.
Classes will be held in Vance Hall. Most classes will be held in B2, but any changes will be posted here.
For this course you will need to wear loose fitting clothes and bare feet. You should bring a yoga mat or towel with you. It is better to not eat a heavy meal at least 1 hour prior to class. You will not be allowed to drink water during the course of the class. If you have any specific medical conditions please let the instructor know at the start of class.
